The installation time for LVT can range from a few hours for a smaller room, to a day or two for large rooms depending on the baseboard and shoe type. Shoe molding is typically found around doorways, windows and baseboards and it can be either wood or LVT. A LVT baseboard will typically take more time to install than a shoe molding made of wood.

The glued-down system involves gluing the entire flooring piece to the subfloor (plywood or OSB). The click-lock system involves locking 2 pieces of the LVT together by a tongue and groove, then set it on top of the subfloor.
